I finally got in touch with my domestic goddess today after a year's hiatus from kitchen. (I make myself sound like some world class baker don't I? ROFL. I am so not one.) Headed down to Cold Storage after French class for a whole lot of grocery shopping before zipping home to bake up a storm. And of all days, a sore throat cum cough has chosen to manifest today. I hope it all heals before I leave on Sunday!
Sorry H, I would have loved to do tea with you, but I was pretty much stuffed from lunch, and there was all this baking to do. Post-overseas trip okay? :)
I'd initially wanted to try out the recipes for both the fudge brownies and the currant cookies, but I was just too lazy to do twice the washing up. What you see up there is the sticky sticky sticky brownie mixture just before I plopped it onto the baking tray. The result is a rich rich rich chocolatey brownie unlike any I've ever baked, or tasted for the matter. A mere bite has worsened my sore throat I think. I'm guzzling gallons of water right now.. think I might just put a camel to shame, haha. To my willing guinea pigs, thank you and sorry in advance, lol.
Today's CPM project meeting was smashing! We completed our proposal way ahead of time and we're absolutely on track to boot! -does the wiggly dance- I'm feeling efficient. (: Let's hope this stays all the way till submission day, heh.
It's been a week of heartfelt connections. There was the thought-provoking question and answer session over dinner at Blu Jaz with the Sentosa peeps on Monday, a night of satisfying food and coversation with Mr. Cat last night, and thoughtful chats with Jason and SOS today.
I was pretty much taken aback when Jason quoted me an analogy I came up with eons ago, over two years back actually. I'm impressed. I told him that going outfield romantises him, lol. And it was good to have SOS come to me for advice.. it was almost like the good old times. (: I feel extremely fulfilled.
I can't believe Dubai's a mere three days away. I've not bought or packed anything! Thank God Marc arranged for us to go for the money changer on Saturday evening. I'm feeling excited!
