The Christmas decorations are up at Starbucks. They've even got a tagline - Happens only once a year.
After his lecture. Sorry for being naughty Marc, I know you care. :)
My attention's on neither Fagan or Mich, but the rackful of Christmas gifts behind them.
Iced hazelnut cocoa. (I turned down Mich's request to share a specialty coffee for fear I couldn't sleep tonight, haha.)
Looks are deceiving. This cake is worth running a thousand miles on the treadmill.
Marc and Fagan - my new French tutors. Very capable ones I must say!
We used to go to school and back together all the time in Year 1, and it was so good to do that again today.
Love makes you dream, live and sin.
Cecilia's latest entry probably best describes my web of tangled thoughts the way I haven't been able to. Once in awhile, someone significant walks into your life. That person might not stay, but the implications and changes he or she brings probably would.
Finding love is an age-old quest. Everywhere around the globe, people are either seeking, holding, or mourning love. Love is the one emotion so inexplicable, I would think it is amongst the few things left in the universe for which scientists haven't been able to conjure up hypotheseses.
When you think you've found love, you're ecstatic, and you spend each day riding the highs of the initial passion that comes with the idealistic delusion of finding the perfect one. As time goes on however, the passion dwindles and in its place come the many obstacles lovers often speak of. It is then that you start to wonder, "have I really found the one?"
Who is "the one" anyway? Does this man-made ideal really exist? "We fit together like a jigsaw puzzle". Truth be told, I would say that there will always be a better fitting piece of jigsaw out there. However, it is this never-ending search for greener pastures that often leaves one with nothing at all at the end of the day.
Her: "So you think I'm the one?"
Him: "Yes."
Her: "How do you know there isn't a better one out there?"
Him: "There will definitely be, but it is up to myself to be content with you as the one."
Is he short-changing himself, or has he made the wisest decision of all?
Albeit intriguing, the quest for perfect love is like running an endless marathon in the Sahara. How about the quest for staying in love instead?
My acquisitions. I can't describe how thrilled I was when I saw the Sandylion stickers on sale. I can seldom find them around Singapore these days! (For the uninitiated, Sandylion was a renowned sticker brand back when I was a kid.) And I absolutely dig the chunky ring. :)
An attempt at an artistic shot of my Indian skirt and sandals.
I'm proud of my daughter - the new ambassador of healthy eating. It's not easy, especially since we're at a fast-food joint.
Guiltily munching on the fried prawn. So much for healthy eating!
It's beginning to look alot like Christmas, but it sure doesn't feel like it. Must be the after-effects of working on a tropical island.
So candid! I look like I'd just been fed ten dark chocolate pralines or something, haha.
Sea of Passion (background), Sea of Love (foreground). Or is it the other way round?
Cecilia was forced to choose between having $5 worth of pig's organ soup and trying on a retro dress. Her choice's obvious.
Edmund and Cecilia. Ceci's laughing at my joke! Haha!
A pretty artistic shot of me lost in thoughts at Smith Street, courtesy of Cecilia. I seriously think this girl's got potential.. Told her I wanted her to be my photographer when I do become a journalist. Heh.
Me: Eh, you looked like you raped me man.
Kai: I rape you I don't need to take off clothes izzit?
Marc: You take off pants can already what.
Me and Kai: -shudder-
